Why are telehealth services offered?
Telehealth services offer significant advantages, particularly in accommodating busy schedules and enabling greater scheduling flexibility. This means less concern about fitting appointments into traditional school hours, as I can also see clients during more realistic after-school times. From a provider's standpoint, a major benefit of telehealth is the opportunity for cross-state licensing, expanding access to specialized care. If you have any reservations about the telehealth platform, please reach out so we can discuss what to expect. This also helps clients view telehealth as a normalized and equally effective mode of therapy, delivering outcomes comparable to in-person speech-language services.
Note: Presently, telehealth therapy services are available with in-person services being on a case-by-case basis. Initial speech-language therapy evaluations can be conducted in-person.
